Our Board

NCCLF’s Board of Directors, staff, and several volunteer committees spearhead our efforts to spur economic revitalization and alleviate poverty in Northern California. We have a diverse, active board of 13 people representing both our borrower and investor constituencies and a range of professional expertise in banking, housing, economic development, venture capital, business planning, accounting, and fundraising.

FRANK BRAVO is Manager of Community Development Finance at Rabobank. He was previously a Relationship Manager at Silicon Valley Bank, a Vice President, Relationship Manager, Underwriting Manager, Senior Loan Administration Consultant, Consumer Credit Officer, and Loan Specialist with Bank of America and its Community Development Banking Group.*

ANN CAMERON (BOARD CHAIR) is Senior Vice President - Personal Banking at Northern Trust. She is a board member of Marin Community Clinic, the Corte Madera Foundation, and the San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum, and is a past president of La Clinica de la Raza.*

REGINA DAVIS is Executive Director of the San Francisco Housing Development Corporation, which fosters stability in the city’s African American community through the development of affordable homes and new home owners. She has previously worked with Michael Willis Associates Architects, UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design, the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.

JEAN DRISCOLL is a consultant specializing in real estate finance with a focus on land conservation. Her clients include major philanthropies and conservation organizations. Prior to establishing her own practice, she was a consultant with McKinsey and Co, and earlier spent several years financing affordable housing.

VICKIE SCOTT GROVE is Executive Director of Child Advocates of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Previously, she was a consultant in the field of community economic development, and directed the ICA Revolving Loan Fund.*

BILL LAMBERT was previously the Development Manager at Shasta Production Services, Senior Project Manager at Strategic Urban Development Alliance, and Economic Development Manager for the cities of Oakland and Berkeley. Mr. Lambert has extensive experience in economic development, including positions with the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Spanish Speaking Unity Council.

PAMELA MERCHANT (SECRETARY) is Executive Director of The Center for Justice and Accountability, a nonprofit organization that works to stop torture and other serious human rights abuses around the world. She was previously Deputy City Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco. Ms. Merchant has also worked as an attorney in private practice and a federal prosecutor for the U. S. Department of Justice.

MARGARET (PEG) STONE is a senior associate at CSG Advisors, Inc., a national real-estate financial advisory firm. She has more than 25 years of experience in affordable housing and economic development. Peg’s specialties include public housing refinance, tax credits, bond finance, and strategic planning. Prior to working with CSG, Peg served as the executive director of Merritt Capital, a nonprofit tax-credit syndication fund.

ANDREW SUN is President and Managing Director of Sun Associates, a consulting firm specializing in public affairs, strategic communications, media relations, and community relations. The firm’s clients include Booz Allen and Hamilton, PG&E, Sutter Health Care, SKS Investments, and the Asian American Contractors Association. He has previously held senior positions with Fleishman-Hillard Inc., Kaiser Permanente, and Anheuser-Busch.

LYDIA TAN is Executive Vice President at BRIDGE Housing Corporation where she supervises real estate development, project finance, and project accounting activities. In her 12 years at BRIDGE Ms. Tan has been involved in or overseen the development of over 6,000 units of housing.

PABLO BRAVO VIAL (TREASURER) is Director of Community Grants and Investments at Catholic Healthcare West. He was formerly Fiscal Director of Baker Places, a nonprofit agency providing high-quality services to adults with mental health, substance abuse and HIV/AIDS related issues. Prior to that, Mr. Bravo was a Business and Operations Director in the San Francisco Department of Public Health.*

GEORGE WILLIAMSON is President and CEO of CEDLI, California Economic Development Lending Initiative, based in Oakland. CEDLI is a multibank community development corporation established in 1995 to provide investment capital to small businesses and community organizations throughout California. Its mission is to increase access to capital and create jobs.

KIRKE WILSON (VICE CHAIR), before retiring in 2005, was Executive Director of the Rosenberg Foundation since 1974 and President since 1998. He is on the Board of Rural Community Assistance Corporation where he is Chair of the Loan Committee and previously was a member of the Loan Committee of the Non-profit Development Loan Fund. He has previously served on the Boards of Antenna Theater, the Foundation Center, Independent Sector, Northern California Grantmakers and other organizations.*
